My first weekly round-up
I mentioned in a post this past weekend that I am going to start doing a weekly round up (see post below for details as to why I’m doing this). I love @ExtremeJohn’s post as to why he believes it is important so I’m going to see how it goes.

Everybody’s doing these now!
I can’t imagine I started this trend, but I can say I it didn’t seem common when I kicked mine off last summer.
In any case, roundups are fun… for about 6 weeks. Then they get to be work!
I’ve stopped worrying about whether I make it every week now. As long as I can 3-4 out per month, I’m happy.
Don’t forget to chain the round ups to each other in series. Gives you more structure, more contextual strength on all the roundup articles.

Dave – how do you “chain the round up to each other in series?” Can you tell on feeds if they are to end at some point? I did mine all wacky as you can see – and by the time I realized I had done it wrong it was too late to fix it w/out losing subscribers!

Next week, link back to this weeks, and provide stub to link forward to the following week. You can see this on my reviews, just scroll down to the bottom. Here’s an example: http://website-in-a-weekend.net/website-maintenance/website-weekend-week-review/
This is important, because part of the reason for doing these reviews is to ensure all your articles get at least one internal link.

Dave – you are quickly becoming invaluable to me! I am totally going to check out your provided link. BTW, still waiting to know more about your Gravatar with your horse!
