Me1 300x300 Featured Virtual Assistant | @luzdonahue of Luz Donahue Social Media Introducing our featured Virtual Assistant, Luz Donahue of Luz Donahue Social Media:

What is YOUR Story. How did you get started? I started out doing free lance jobs online here and there for extra cash. My first ‘real’ client was someone I met on a time waster iPhone app. As I began to learn about the VA industry, I felt like I had found my chance to create the perfect business for myself. I got my hands on every piece of training I could afford. I wanted to build something that let me meet and work with amazing people who appreciated my eclectic set skills and constant search for self-improvement.

Are you a solo VA or multi-VA firm? Solo

Describe YOUR ideal client: My ideal client is laid back (like me) but very passionate about what they do (like me). Ideally they are appreciative and creative. My favorite industries to work with are anything having to do with food and beverage, art of any form, and self-improvement/spirituality. But my ideal client is just someone who is about forming a real partnership and relationship.

How long have you been in business? Roughly 8 months.

Three things Luz does really well:

  1. Customer service (email or social media) ?I kill ‘em with kindness better than anyone and make my clients look awesome.
  2. Social Media? (specifically, all things Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, but I’m familiar enough with the other networks to do well on them and never seeming salesy?.)
  3. Writing (especially when a personable and friendly tone is required).

Do you sub-contract for other VAs? Yes.
