One essential plugin you don’t mention is MyPageOrder http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/my-page-order/
allows you to order your pages thru a drag’n'drop interface. couldn’t do without it!

I know I have found a lot of great blogs through exactly that and my number of comments are now starting to increase as a result as well. I tend to comment more on blogs that have that installed for that same reason and know there are others out there that do the same.
